Teen Ministry at Parkway Baptist Church
Upper Room High School Ministry does not exist just for the entertainment of teenagers, although we do love to have fun!
At Parkway Baptist Church we believe that life is meant to be purposeful. The way we do youth ministry is centered on this focus.
Advance Youth Ministry exists to boldly engage students with the Gospel, lovingly connect them with other Christians, teach them to radically follow Christ, and equip them to faithfully serve and passionately glorify God with their lives.
Our students are encouraged to engage their community with the gospel of Christ through outreach events, personal evangelism, and organized service projects.
We connect with each other on Wednesday nights at 6:45pm for an exciting time including games, snacks, preaching, and small groups.
We also meet on Sunday mornings at 11:20am for Bible study and connection after the main worship service.
Monthly activities include events such as gym nights, archery tag, Busch Gardens, summer camp, and other epic adventures.
At Advance Youth Ministry you will find a community designed to assist teens in becoming followers of Christ. Passionate preaching and teaching of God's Word combined with small group discussions allow teens to freely ask questions about their faith.
Putting feet to our faith means that we serve God and serve others through various outlets – worship, nursing home ministry, Beyond our Walls, and other service projects.
Ultimately, our students will be developed and mentored to glorify God with their lives. Our goal through this youth ministry is not to be the biggest, craziest, or most entertaining youth group around, but to be a youth group full of teens that are fully committed to and passionate about Christ.
